About Me

Art and culture are my life interests.
This is deeply tied with my self. I studied cultural studies before, starting to step deeper into the pool of film and performing arts. I think art cannot leave alone "action". Besides ideas, aestheticism and the element of avant-garde, the action of artists itself is indispensable. I appreciate the action to express, to make response to the society and world with art.

So, I hope
To be a revolutionist with my hand, my action, and art.
To consider and respect the lives and thoughts of down to earth people and those who is regarded as "boring and living in manipulated norms" in different countries.

Besides, I like to breathe my life in nature. That's why I always go hiking and walk into forests and faraway, remote places. I believe it is important to relax and think in silence sometimes. I have stayed in Beijing and work as a intern for two months in summer in a Community-Supported Agriculture Farm. In my home town and during my times in other places, I always go hiking and walk along some beautiful, inspiring paths.

I haven't travelled around many countries yet. Previously , I would like to stay in home country and participate in local community to make changes. After a year working in society, I would like to travel around first. Maybe I am now an unattachble person trying to flow around attachable cities and life stories.

Current plan: Learning Chinese calligraphy, Go New Zealand and get involved in craft and wood work after my lessons on ink art, then travel around East Asia and South America.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love music since I was small. I am more attracted to acoustic music, folk rock, indie rock, post rock and ambient music.

I have more interest in films talking about coming -to-age, exploring life and death, and describing relationships and love. Basically, I watch few hero films and Sci-fic films. I like watching psychological thriller films too . Hirokazu Koreeda, Hou Hsiao -Hsien, Theodoros Angelopoulos are some filmmakers that I admire.

I like poetry, picture books, literature and biography. i regard magazine as books that I will pay special attention on the layout design and content, especially art and culture related magazines.
