I am passionate about sustainable food systems and immerses myself in understanding various hurdles within our seafood supply chain and how to overcome them. My work focuses on organizational development, finance, raising capital, business and sustainability planning, traceability, and marketing to stimulate vital local food systems. I am currently enrolled as a PhD student at University of California, Santa Cruz researching seafood supply chains, consumer behavior, political ecology, private governance and labeling, and actor network theory. I love the ocean, surfing, yoga and good, clean, fair food!

I am traveling to Cairo to research Tilapia food systems. I am looking for guidance, housing assistance, suggestions for travel and site seeing and an overall community to aid in my transition. Id also like to visit Turkey from June 20-30th. Any suggestions or hosting during this vacation is much appreciated.

I co-founded the Port Orford Community Supported Fishery and has been instrumental in developing sustainability standards and digital inventory management and traceability for Real Good Fish. Ive also co-founded the Bodega Bay Fishermen's Cooperative.
