About Me

When it comes to describing myself, I feel like having a job interview … but not one of the comfortable ones, where you enjoy chatting with the other person. I’m talking of that kind of interview where you are confronted with the principle of ‘surprise’! You think you are well prepared, no matter what question you’re asked but shortly after entering the room you realize, that there won’t be any questions, only you holding a monolog with someone else – who might be your future boss – picking everything you’re saying in his/her mind to pieces. Where to start? Sure you can tell something about yourself. Most people know themselves since they were born :D … but without any feedback and merely the eye blinking of the pokerfaced guy in front of you to interpret, you can’t tell, if he/she is bored stiff. In Addition you want to show yourself form the best side, but also appear authentic. Challenging!
Basically I’d describe myself as musician. I started playing drums when I was five – piano twelve – e-guitar & bass fourteen. I always attended schools with a focus on music. I matriculated in a very rare degree program in Austria – popular- and computermusik. I still think, it is the coolest school on earth, considering the fact, that we were allowed to write and produce music, have concerts and workshops (with for instance Victor Wooten, David Becker, …) In that time I was pretty much into Metal. That was not the only genre I liked, but loved to scream in my band. Admittedly I didn’t care about technique so after a short period of time my voice totally fucked up! :D I’m getting tired of writing so fast! If you want to know me better before giving me a place to sleep, I will cheerfully resume my story, but hopefully in a dialog! ^^

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to get to know other people. I kinda get sick of hotels quite fast. I don't need much. If s.o. would like to offer a place to sleep, but doesn't want to chat, it is alright too.
