Books are too many to list :-)

The best movie of all time is The Godfather trilogy. The child inside me also wants to mention Back to the Future! Among Brazilian films, O Que É Isso Companheiro (Four days in September--in English version) is great, as is O Menino e o Mundo (The Boy and the World). Also, don't miss out on Danish film and series production, which are generally excellent!
