I love to learn new things all the time. I have many different projects going on at once including filmmaking, music making, and out reach projects (trying to engage younger students to pursue science careers).

I love the brain and that's why I'm studying it. I think it's super cool. If you want to talk about cool philosophical topics about consciousness, life, etc--- count me in!

Wow. It's been a while. Life, choices, changes, events, the pandemic... so much shapes us, sometimes it feels like we are shattered, but we rebuild and grow stronger. I'm happy to be back and find joy in what I had written all those years ago. It all still rings true! I am still an adventurer, I still love meeting people, I still love Lord of the Rings and The Matrix, and in fact, bore people with all the references I make of those movies all the time. I'm glad to be back to meet people through CS -- this such a great community, and I've met such great people through here. Oh, I have long hair now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people. Isn't that why we do this? So far in my life I've done impromptu couch surfing with people I had just met--I have never done it through a website, which is exciting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked from Shanghai to Beijing with one stranger I had recently just met and one complete stranger during a thunderstorm that cancelled my flight and 250+ others. While we were driving past midnight on the highway the sky was so bright from the frequent lightning it almost felt like we could see the rain droplets freeze in time.

I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but I can also teach Spanish! I can teach how to code virtual reality, augmented reality, generative art with Python. I can share tons of crazy stories (some that still make me cringe). But, I think what I've learned over the years, is that I can also share my joy to living -- which is something I think anyone on CS, by definition can share. So, let's embibe together on this joy to live!
