Hi I'm DH, 20 years old, currently studying biotechnology in London. Yes I'm a geek, but not a nerd. Please. Biotechnology is cool.
I'm originally from Korea (South, not North obviously), but somehow went through a French international school and a British international school in Korea, so I had to learn in 3 different cultures. I think this helped me getting into the international mindset.
As of hobbies, I LOVE photography and travelling (which is a perfect combination!) but have been wanting to get more out of my trips – like actually talking with a local about life and stuff!
So during my trip in Kiev last summer, I ended up in a local language exchange evening where I was introduced to Couchsurfing. And I immediately knew that this was what I was looking for all the time.

As I briefly mentioned above, I'm kinda tired of being a "tourist" who just takes pictures of famous landmarks. I want to be a real traveler who does more than that!

I also like talking with people from different backgrounds! It's amazing how we all come from different sides of this planet and we can meet in person!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Blade Runner is the best film ever made. Hands down.
I used to be in a rock band in high school but there used to be this musical genius who did all the cool solos, which meant that I always got to play the boring chords. I'm really into music, and especially hip-hop and beat making these days. I'm trying to produce my own songs but I'm still learning!
I gotta confess that I'm not a good reader... but I like watching and making movies! One of my childhood dreams was to become a film director/cinematographer, so I really enjoy watching GOOD movies and analysing shots!

I tried going from Shanghai to London only by land last summer! Did I succeed? I'll tell you the rest of the story when we meet!

I can teach you geeky biochemistry stuff (I'm just joking)
I can teach you some basic Korean phrases, tell you about how living in Korea is with our neighbours up North, and how crazy the politics works here.

I wanna practice my French because it's been a while since I spoke with someone in French, and I can feel my brain getting rusty already!
