I spent most of my adult life studying and working around the world (mostly voluntary). I am married to Fernanda, who is also brazilian, and share in my genuine interest for cultures and people. We live in Dunedin, New Zealand. I have done a variety of jobs in the last 20 years, including Outdoor Instructor (Brazil, US, and Scotland), Flight Attendant (Qatar), Parish Ministry (Brazil and New Zealand), AI Technician - Dairy (New Zealand), among other things. When I was in Qatar, my work colleagues came from 102 different nationalities. I think it's fair to say that we are a culturally aware couple, and we enjoy to learn from the cool people we meet.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have now gone back to university, and as a second-year cash-strapped med-student, together with my wife we've decided to go backpacking in Europe. It was an old dream of mine to get a rail pass and see Europe that way, so when Fernanda came onboard and showed interest, I was quick to take her up on it;)
Couchsurfing seemed to be a great option that suited both our interest in people/cultures and our budget. We look forward to meeting the brave souls that venture out as far as the south of the South Island of New Zealand:)
