I'm Estefania, I'm 25 years old, I'm have a dreegre in Finance and International Trade. During the last two years I have lived in the United States through the Au pair exchange program, which has allowed me to improve my level of English, meet people and incredible places, but above all, I have been able to expand the vision of the world to different scales. I am a lover of travel, whenever I can, I try to meet new places or just enjoy different activities with my friends that I really consider as part of my family.

I am close to culminating the experience of being an Au pair in the United States and besides enjoying every minute next to the two kids that I take care of . I want to travel for a few more states and keep on learning and exploring a little more of the American culture that besides hamburgers and fries, has much more that to show to the world.

I consider myself a very creative person, I love everything related to plastic arts, interior decoration, and in general all kinds of art, even though I have never dedicated to study or work of this I do as a hobbies.

As for the food, during my adolescence I think I missed incredible flavors to think that many times that the appearance makes the taste, or that the vegetables taste like grass, but entered in my 20's decided to try everything, with the thought and conviction that if I do not like it I will not eat it again, but if on the contrary it conquers my palate, I will be eating it there again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe that in addition to being an online platform, it is an interesting tool for mobility, recognition, and above all the exchange of cultural information, through people of different nationalities, located around the world, with an interest in common which is travel and make themselves known as people and representatives of their country of origin.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly I listen to rock, however I enjoy different types of music, in fact I am a very flexible person. My favorite movies without a doubt are the funny ones, and my great favorite so many people do not believe it or consider it as a very bad WHITE CHICKS, I have seen it like 1000 times and I never tire of laughing every time I see it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me the experience of being an Au Pair has marked my life in a very significant way, I think that along with other work experiences that I have had in the past, have been the most significant events and it is worth highlighting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Spanish, about the Colombian culture (music, humor, dance, food ...). I want to continue improving my level of English, and of course always with open mind to learn other languages, customs and data of interest of other cultures. I can share my knowledge in crafts and those related to my degree.
