Hey everybody, I am Ricardo and I am Latino. I think that basically sums up my life, you should all love me, seriously, latinos are great. I can cook, gossip, steal from you and talk really loud. I am kidding, I won't cook for you.

I am a Venezuelan citizen called Ricardo Rauseo. Yes, I am latino! When I was 12 I moved to Colombia for 5 years where I finished my high school and studied abroad in Canada. I then finished the International Baccalaureate and decided to go to the University of Florida in the U.S., I've been living in Miami for 3 years now, and I studied abroad in Paris, right now I am doing an internship in Brussels for the summer. I am an Anthropology and International Relations major and I am ready to travel the whole world

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered Couchsurfing no long ago and I realized it is the perfect fit for me. I like traveling a lot and I've noticed that traveling without getting to know people from the country you are going is a mistake. I enjoy having friends with different backgrounds, different stories to tell, different cultures. I really like living in a globalized world were technology can bring us together to create a huge platform and community of couch surfers that believe in the quid pro quo, and are willing to give their home to a total stranger so they can learn from them and vice versa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have gone to the Amazon rainforest twice now, in the border of Colombia, Brazil and Peru. I have done community service by cleaning corals in the beach. Venezuela has a desert and a snowy mountain I've had the pleasure to visit. I've scuba dived in a cave in Cancun, Mexico. I've cruised the Caribbean. I've paintballed in a natural forest in Canada.
