About Me

Hey there, I am Sebastian from Germany, however I am also Peruvian from my maternal side. Most of last year I have spent in Brazil, where I did a university exchange in São Paulo, and after that, a work experience with a NGO in Belém and ever since I have been "apaixonado" of Brazil. After finishing my degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology, I am currently figuring out my next steps, which is also why I currently don't have a fixed place and unfortunately can't host anyone at the moment.

I would describe myself as an easy going, flexible and open-minded person. I am passionate about dancing and about social, political and ecological topics, such as climate justice, diversity and human rights and holistic approaches to socio-ecological transformations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing, because I want to save the money I would have to spend on a hostel (:P)...
... and, half jokes aside, because I am enthusiastic about how I believe that couchsurfing allows different people to connect and because I believe that staying with someone local or opening our home to a visitor makes us get to know the place we visit and also the place that we live in much more deeply. I am new to Couchsurfing, but my previous experiences with staying or hosting friends, were amazing. I am also on Couchsurfing, because many friends have recommended it to me.
