I'm a 24 years old italian student.
I'm studying African and Asian Studies in Pavia (near Milan), a master course of Political Science and International Relations. I would like to specialize in the field of African studies. I was fascinated by the continent and its millenial history, so I started to attend lessons and conferences about it. And I fell in love with it.
I really love Africa, its connection role with Mediterranean Europe and, through the Middle East, with Far East. I love its diversified culture, its multilingualism, its geographical eclecticism. I love Africa but I never been there.
I like traveling, and I was lucky to visit more than ten different countries. I'm a curious and interested person.
I like to meet new people and exchange ideas and opinions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I won a scholarship that allows me to spend more than three months in an African, Asian or Latin America country and I'm looking for an accommodation for two or three weeks in Fez, Morocco.
Furthermore, I would like to make my home available to all those who will be able to travel to Italy for work, study or tourism purposes .
I believe that Couchsurfing is a smart way to share your space and is definitely a simple and effective way to get in touch and build friendships with other people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading . One of my favorite books is The Iron Heel written by Jack London.
I like watching films with my friends. My boyfriend and my friends are cinema lovers and every night we meet to watch a differenti movie. Recently we saw a trilogy by Pablo Larrain, a Chilean director, which talk about the daily life of some social categories in the period of Pinochet' regime. To international friends, I recommend watching films in which Gian Maria Volontè plays, first of all Investigation of a citizen above suspicion (Indagine di un cittadino al di sopra di ogni sospetto).
I like listen to music too but I have not a favorite genre. I like so much italian song-writers, first of all Fabrizio de Andrè and Rino Gaetano. I recommend to all my international friends to listen some songs of these two.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to share my experiences and opinions with the hosts. I would like to know their stories, their interests and their passions. I would like to be able to rely on them to learn to live in a different city from where I come from, in a different country, with a different history and culture. I would like to visit thei city together because I think that to really know a place it is necessary to find out with whom in that place we are born or lived there for some time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking so I can offer my passion to my hosts and let them try some typical dishes of Italian cuisine.
I'm an interested person, so I read a lot and I'm constantly informed about the facts of the world. My personal interest regard the political and social facts of Africa and the Middle East, but I try to be eclectic so I read about everything happens in the world.
