I've been a 'couch-surfing' host for years, but just not with this site. For fifteen years I've volunteered with the Nightstop service - where hosts offer a spare room to homeless young people. I have had over 200 homeless guys and girls come stay for a night or more.

Profession wise - I'm a commissioner for the government, for healthcare (the NHS) and I do some other stuff too.

I love meeting new people, and helping people out pleases me, and so when I heard about this site the other day I just had to join.

I'm a British, professional gent offering a spare bedroom in my house to those coming to visit this amazing city that I am lucky enough to live in.

If you'd be happy to share an Englishman's home, that's piled with books & papers; and who's walls are full of pictures, and shelves packed with the stuff he's collected over the years - then you'll love this house.

There are two other permanent residents here - my cats, so please consider this if you are allergic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always loved meeting new people, and through other routes have had many stay in my home over the years. I adore London and love getting to share it with visitors.
Staying with me will probably work best for those who don't have overly restrictive dietary requirements and those who enjoy alcohol... though neither are a necessity at all.
