One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was about 10 years old, shy and reserved kid. I got my mid term exam result of one of the subjects' I was studying then, don't remember exactly which one. I ended up scoring poorly in it. My parents were expecting results would come soon. So one evening my dad asked about it, and I quickly denied of getting it as I was scared to tell him about it. That whole night it bothered me that I had lied it to my dad. Next evening I gathered courage and went and told him the reality that I had lied to him and what was the fact! Unexpectedly my dad reacted so calmly and asked me not to repeat it later and asked me to study well for the next exam. That reaction of my dad that day was one of the best things that happened to me. I love him for it. It was a day when I decided to myself that, that day onwards I won't lie. Today, 16 years down the line, I find it terribly difficult to lie even when it is just for fun; but yeah I do it just for some humour purpose!
In one line : The amazing thing I did was that I gathered the courage, at an age of 10, to go to my dad (super strict man) and speak the truth about my failure and my dishonesty, when I knew consequences would not be great :)
