Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It has been a dream of mine to go to Sicily ever since I have worked in Italy Two years ago. Maybe that's Romantic but I want to get to know a country through it's living rooms not it's hotel rooms.

Interests

I Love to sing, Play The ukulele, Cook and write. In Amsterdam I write articles for Two student publications and I used to play in a band. As a passionate vegetarian I love cooking and all the vegetarian food the world has to offer. During my gap year I took after Highschool I discovered my love for travelling. I spend 5 months in Italy working on farms and 3 months in Ireland working in a Surfhostel. Being outside, moving and being around people are things I've discovered to be Essential for my happiness.

I have Always liked all Things ca, acoustic and sentimental ( e.g.: Mumford and Sons, the Lumineers..). My favorite artist is a British rapper called Loyle Carner. If the lyrics is good can listen to almost anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many.
When France won the World Cup in 2016 against Germany, I celebrated with the french in Nice by jumping into a fountain with a big group of locals and dancing till morning.

In 2017 I solo travelled through Italy for 5 months from Veneto all The way to Umbria. That was an amazing experience.

In 2018 I spent some time learning how to Surf in Ireland (yes, they have waves there its Just cold) and loved every bit of it.

I would Love to learn about Sicilian culture- be it food, History, Nature or Just a General sense of what it's Like to live Here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make dutch pancakes by Heart and of if you'll ever need a Couch in Amsterdam you'll know who to contact! On the more practical side, I can Help around the house, with cooking or gardening. I can equally spend time in my own but would just be as happy to do Something together.
