About Me

I love to play outside, so anyone looking for some good hiking or mountain biking will have some good references here. I have two dogs that have a doggie door to access,so they're in and out, but like to be introduced to my guests first. I love to travel and meet new people, always happy to offer a place to sleep for like minded people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This summer I bicycled the Great Divide, mountain bike ride from Banff, Canada to the Mexico border in NM and met so many great people and lodging hosts. I'm anxious to 'pay it forward'.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like trippy music, country music, acoustic anything, acoustic blues, bluegrass, southern rock....just about anything. I tolerate jazz, but it's not my favorite. Sometimes it sounds like every instrument is 'warming up' before a concert, and they're all playing different songs. I like documentaries, movies based on true stories or history, romantic comedies and drams, but don't get sci-fi or action movies that are over the top unbelievable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mountain biked the Great Divide, along the spine of the rocky mountain chain from Banff, Canada to Antelope Wells, NM, on the southern US border. It parallels or criss-crosses the Continental Divide hiking trail but is the designated mountain bike trail. I rode north to south with my best friend to celebrate her 60th birthday. Friends and family claimed it was risky for two women to bicycle 'cross country alone, but we met up with, rode with, camped with and made friends with so many wonderful people, we never felt alone. We had many great things happen to us, or for us, we deemed 'trail magic'. We were removed from the news for 8 weeks and without all the negative feedback and bad news coupled with all of the great people we met who helped us out along the way, I realized there are more good people in the world than bad --- It was a great trip!

Another amazing thing I've done is birth and raise two daughters, who have turned out to be amazing young women.
