I'm Noelle from Germany! After I graduated from High School last year I came to the US in February. I'm currently staying in DC for one year working as an Au Pair. I am staying with an American host family while taking care of their kids during the week. It's been a great experience so far even though working with children is not what I plan on doing for my whole life (very interested in studying medicine).
I'm an outgoing, active (hopefully fun) person and I love meeting people from all over the world, something I luckily get to experience every day meeting other Au Pairs from many many different countries. I would say I'm easy to talk to and get along with and I love listening to other people's stories, finding out common interests or big differences!
If you want to get to know me and listen to my stories, I will gladly tell you about my crazy journey here! :)
Also I love going out with friends, grabbing dinner or a coffee, exploring new places and sometimes as well just doing all of these things on my own. Another thing that I learned to love while being here.
All in all I would say an open minded person that you can have fun with from just doing easy cool stuff together over having deep conversations about the crazy sh*t that's going on in this country right now (another thing that I love to hear American people's opinion about, because I still can't believe it) to just hanging out laughing together. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In the 6 months I've been here so far, I have already met many great people! No matter if that was while going out for a drink with my friends, just walking around the city, meeting other Au Pairs or even just chatting with random people (one thing I definitely love about the American people, German people are nice, but certainly not that open)!
I think I can gain a lot from the couch surfing experience, meeting even more people, sharing fun stories!
Since I am currently thinking about studying in the US I also think this is a great opportunity for me to meet local people that can hopefully tell me a lot about actually living in the US and studying and/or working there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am very lucky to be able to say that I've done a lot of great stuff in my young age.
One thing that I will certainly remember was with my family (parents and brother) on our vacation to California in 2015. We flew over the Grand Canyon starting in Las Vegas an we landed right in the middle of it. Memories that I will never forget with them.

Great stories and great laughs, if you want to know more about Germany I will gladly tell you everything I know.
