I grew up in Livingston just outside of Edinburgh, Scotland. Since a very young age I have been very involved with outdoor activities. I metal detect most weekends and also enjoy fishing. When i was 14 i found a Hoard of roman Hacked silver in Scotland. I enjoy fishing, Metal detecting and visiting historic monuments. My favorite type of music is country or folk however i am willing to listen to just about anything. my favorite food is meat, pasta and for pudding, lemon sorbet, I also enjoy cooking these meals. I have lead an interesting life and would be more than willing to share my stories with others in return for their stories and experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had no idea what i wanted to study at university so i decided i wanted to take a gap year to open my mind to the world, gain some experiences and then decide what i would like to do. Whilst traveling the world i would like to meet like-minded people who enjoy telling and sharing stories, Perhaps they may become a close friend.

Music, Movies, and Books

As stated i love to listen to country music with my favorite singer being Brad Paisley and my favorite band being Alabama, however i also enjoy listening to folk, classical and pop. My favorite movie is either "the shawshank redemption" or a french movie called "les untouchable". I enjoy reading whilst listening to music the most. my favorite books are greenmantle by john Buchan or the great Gatsby by fitzgerald.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As talked about above when i was 14 i discovered a hoard of roman hacked silver. the hoard consisted of 408 pieces of roman plate and bowl that had been chopped up by the Romans 2000 years ago. the hoard is the 2nd hoard of that type to be discovered in Scotland. after finding the hoard i then was invited into the musuem to help piece the hoard back together. the hoard goes on display this month (13/10/2017) in the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh
