I am a 22 year old medical student from Curaçao currently studying in Willemstad!!

One of the reasons for this decision was simply - traveling!! :D Leaving my safe little bubble in Willemstad and try something completley new and different! New people, new language, new culture! These are also all among my biggest interests :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because travelling! And the best way to discover a city is surely by the city's owners - its people, the locals! And that's what CS does - introducing people from different countries and cities to one another, and thereby opening new world for everyone.
This app is probably the best gift to humankind.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Litterally everything except country, pop and 2017 hiphop.
Most preferred is dubstep and old school hiphop.
Book: Fantasy books mainly! Harry Potter, Game of thrones, Clockwork series etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A lot! But I think that the most amazing thing is getting brave enough and crossing the wide ocean - traveling to USA to fulfill my medical studies dream!!!! (Well, my stay did not last for long there but that's another story to be told another time :) )

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm... I can help with language exchange! I master speaking, writing and reading Swedish, English and Arabic! Some Persian too, due to my family's roots and also Spanish (learned in high school)!! :D I can also share life experiences, my past as a little child being an illegall Iraqi refugee escaping country to country before finally reaching Sweden. Discuss life, philosophy, cultures, religion!!

My main goal in life is not only saving people's lives through Medicine, but also reaching out to people and changing views by giving a voice to those who have none. Enlightening people and spread knowledge:)

At the same time, these exchanges may hopefully simultaneously make me learn a lot about the diversity of our world, different ways of thinking, living, behaving :)
