About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Breathe deeply, enjoy the silence, listen to the birds, feel the wind, dig my feet into the warm sand, sit in the shade on a sunny day, ask unanswerable questions, relax into the present moment.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy wandering, going for walks in nature, musical improvisation, reading, eating nourishing food in good company, exploring new places in the world, tossing the frisbee, slack lining, and sitting in silence.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I originally joined a number of years ago during my time of wanderlust to meet people around the world and host travellers that were in my city. I've met so many wonderful people through this site, I'm most grateful for all the opportunities it has provided me.

"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." ~ Howard Thurman

"Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love." ~ Rumi

"You do not have to be good. You do not have to walk on your knees For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves." ~ Mary Oliver

"When I look inside and see that I am nothing, that is wisdom. When I look outside and see that I am everything, that is love. And between these two, my life turns." - Nisargadatta Maharaj

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” - Rilke
