About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to make the most of Vancouver and hopefully get to Mexico and Guatemala

ABOUT ME

I am 21 years old and from Dunedin, New Zealand. I'm a uni student currently in Vancouver at University of British Columbia for a year and loving these mountains!

PHILOSOPHY

Don't be too careful or plan things too much or you'll miss out on the best times.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When i get home i hope to be able to show other travellers some of the good local spots to chill out, drink, explore the nature in my beautiful area of New Zealand

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, if you can count a bed as a couch, probably my best experience would be in Basel, Switzerland with my wonderful friend Anna. Also, we had some fantastic Californian lads surf our couches/floor of our flat for a couple of months and they bought wonderful times, vibes, experiences and memories into our lives.

Interests

I like travelling, meeting people from other cultures, learning languages, listening to and playing music, painting, hiking in the mountains, creating beautiful things, tasting new and exotic foods, spending time with my cool wee neice, reading, taking photos and just enjoying time with lots of good people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Neil Finn, Crowded House, Split Enz, Dave Dobbyn, POstal Service, Joni Mitchell, Ben Harper, Louis Armstrong, The Strokes,Freddy Fudd Pucker, Belle and Sebastian, Salmonella Dub, John Butler.... the music could go on and on. Just saw a beautiful Finnish movie called "As it is in Heaven", and really like "Waking Ned Divine" and "The Boondock Saints". Just read "The Life of Pi" - it was v entertaining.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing my neice grow up and learn so quickly, start talking, and develop a unique personality

Teach, Learn, Share

You are more likely to die by being hit on the head with a coconut that by being attacked by a shark - so go swimming!
