God is dead, Marx is dead, Freud is dead... and I'm not feeling too well myself
When I was young I wanted to be Jesus Christ, a Roman emperor, Leonidas of Sparta, Alexander the Great, leader of a revolution to create my own state...
But I'm affraid that so far I didn't manage to acomplish anything in my life. That fact made me decide to lower my ambitions to something more easily reachable.
Now I aspire to be a Buddhist monk, a Taoist philosopher, an epic and depressive Russian writer from 19th century, a sailor spending his time in between the absynth bars, the opium dens and the dusty brothels of Singapore and Hong Kong back in the 19th century.
Thus I have spoken about my will
Does it define me as a person ? Maybe...
But just as my dear Zhuangzi said
Meaning that I might be a butterfly dreaming of being me and that finally the reality I percieve has no legitimacy to prevail.
Maybe I am you, who's actually not you but Kim Jong-il, kidnaping some movie director to fulfill his lust for movies before going to have fun with some escorts fed by a kidnapped Japanese chef, who happens not to be himself but a bold Indian dog wandering around the messy streets of Delhi and who used to be a politician in a previous life (Indian joke about Karma for those who lost themselves in the theatrical streets of India)
So yeah I'm affraid I won't write any propaganda like : "I'm nice and open-minded !" Maybe because I'm not, after all it's a well known fact that most of the Csers are greedy and close-minded. ;)
Actually I do have some humour but I'm the only one to get it ! That's one of tragedies of my life ...
You might wonder "What's the point of all this non-sense?" Well, here we go sir! Certain Confucianists would tell you that the most important hexagram of the Book of Change is 咸 (the n°31) because it emphasises the basis of universe without mentioning it: the interaction...
So the point is that we should just meet and see what happens! ;)
Still wondering where I stand in between the Sartre's man building his soul through his deeds based on his own free will and Foucault's man, whose fate is determined by the system he belongs to as a piece of a structure, being therefore a dead man...
Anyway I like alcohol, knowledge in general, philosophy, history, politics, music, litterature, painting, they're like opium to me. They make me forget about my poor and limited human condition.
I'd recommend you to read La Condition Humaine/Man's Fate by André Malraux since every good Soviet library has it! ;)
I DO think that the more you judge the less you learn (that's my only dogma and I apply it to everything even to the most sensitive topics, but don't worry I can behave;) Yet I've been considering applying the idea of renunciation to the renunciation to it so we'll see my good sirs!
May I quote Laozi to petend being an intellectual?
Finally, all I meant is summed up in those words of Rumi, the great Sufi poet
You are no known species.
You haggle and make jokes
to keep what you own for yourself.
You have forgotten the One
who doesn’t care about ownership,
who doesn’t try to turn a profit
from every human exchange.
I think I have said enough bullshits for the philosophy section. And so do you I bet!
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I do stuff like talking too much
some here and there...
Hum... usualy I like pretty much:
Those wild, vast and empty places where there is no limit but the land disolving itself in heavens far away in front of you and where there's no time but the sun birthing and dying...
Then I like as well:
Taoism and Buddhism, Chinese and Arabic languages, Balkan music, wandering in the mountains and meeting weird tribes in there, Chinese culture and history, Klezmer and Jewish music in general, having a nap on volcanoes, philosophy-anthropology-economics-sociology-politics (basicly anything allowing me to pretend being smart), surviving my tendency to end up in troubles all around the world, the Slavic soul (if it means anything...), former Soviet or communist countries, identities, trying to find a way to stay in History, speaking Spanish while drinking Mezcal, all kind of ideologies, Alexander the Great, Marcus Aurelius, Chinese dynasties, the Persian Empires, Athens, Sparta, Babylon and Sumer, reading, thinking, watching the sea and dreaming about what's on the other side, watching the infinite steppes and desserts, writing strange short stories, Dostoievsky, religions, asking stupid questions and learn, travelling in war or former war zones collecting stories for my future book (which will be insh' Allah released one day...),unbuilding reality and see what's behind, Islam, people with balls (girls can have much bigger ones than guys), learning about ethnic groups, saying some poor words in Russian and feeling like I'm about to fight for the 1917 Revolution in Russia or I'm going to get drunk with Dostoievsky or the Mad Baron, GG Allin, Bombed or abandonned towns or buildings, antiquity, going to weird places that scares away the tourists or generate lots of prejudices, the Muslim world, eating!, trying to learn some languages, geopolitics, travelling in the path of ancient heroes such as Alexander the Great, Saladin or Marco Polo, being out of modernity (modernity being a complicated concept...), cooking stuff from here and there, listening to crazy stories like those I heard from guerrilleros, from guys in the Tribal Zone in Pakistan, in Kosovo ..., extending my awarness through theorical knowledge and empiriscism, being part of other cultures, Indonesia and all the wild islands around,Van Gogh, Purity, Chuck Palahniuk's humor, the Monet's collection in London, smoking Cuban cigars
Feeling like part of some scenes from the Ancient Testament like the destruction of Sodoma and Gomora when I'm inspired, revolutions, tattoos...
What else? I don't know, I'm not very inspired tonight.

I was wandering in NYC during Halloween after having lost my sexy "brand new so called wife whom I don't even know the name" in the crowd. I ended up in the metro and then the reason of all this was revealed to me. A little latino, with one tooth missing, was playing the trompet with two other guys. He played like if the world was ending. He played a intense, desperate, apocalyptic jazz. Something beyond your imagination. The kind of stuff we'll hear when the world will be about to end. I could feel my flesh, my veins, my drunkness, my pain, my joy dissolving in his music. He was like the messiah everybody has been waiting for since the Romans (or Jews, just as you prefer...) killed Jesus. Then he vanished in the infinite streets of this rotting city....
That's the kind of music I like
A few things such as hitching and spending a week with gold miners drinking few liters of rhum everyday in a British military truck across the Guyanese jungle to end up illegaly in an island where is located a gold and diamond trade hub on the Essequibo River and where I finally did some sexy dancing with the miners' cocaine dealer dutchess in some club by the river who dumped me when I revealed her that I had no money to purchase her drinks...
Or some strange tales from a forgotten land in the deep Caucasus called Nagorno Karabaq involving Armenian cognac and local mafia...
I can teach you French, how to play guitar in your back and enough Spanish to survive in the slums. I can teach you how to pretend to speak Chinese and Arabic as well.
I have Sicilian blood running in my vains so I like to talk and to move my hands while doing so! Conversation is good, the deeper the better! The crazier the better!
Cuban cigars, home made alcohol, deep topics, crazy memories and funny shite are always welcome, if you have any of those please bring them!
我要提高我的中文的水平！请跟我说话吧！ I want to improve my Chinese so please speak with me!
