ABOUT ME

Things that I am: french, 24 years old, the youngest of three children, easy-going, mature, a fangirl for many things, a procrastinator, passionate, almost happy, grateful, a dreamer, a walking paradox.

My life ambition is to teach a foreign language to young kids in public schools, be that English to French-speaking children, or the other way around. I've been fascinated by language acquisition and bilingualism from as far as I can remember. I can't imagine my life speaking just one language, and I wish to convey as much as possible the notion that life opens up in completely new and exciting ways if you're able to embrace a culture different from your own.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't participated much so far. I joined CS years ago lured by the fantastic concept, and then promptly forgot all about it. Silly me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet? I missed the last train home once and slept on my friend Brendan's couch, if that counts. ^^

I don't read as much as I'd like, but my go-to epic is forever The Stand, by Stephen King.

Some of my favorite movies are Lost In Translation, Babel, Into The Wild, The Lion King, Children of Men, Life As A House, Little Miss Sunshine, The Darjeeling Limited and Star Trek XI.

The music, I could go on about forever. I'll limit myself to these: Tom McRae, Nada Surf, Matthew Good (Band), The Killers, Alanis Morissette, Jimmy Eat World, Blink-182, Matthew Ryan, Joseph Arthur. To cite but a few.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

It's an overused cliché, but I don't ever get tired of sunrises or sunsets.

There was also that time my dad took me on a hike in the Connemara (Ireland), I was 10 and it was exhausting, but the view on that lake when we got there... I'll never forget it.
