CURRENT MISSION
To meet locals and ex pats in Thailand and to enjoy the company of fellow travelers!
ABOUT ME
Carmen: Im 58, I ski, hike, snorkel, go to the theatre in NYC to see plays, concerts, etc. I get involved in community projects and I am a staunch democrat who gets involved politically. I also enjoy fine dining.
Anna: I'm 50, I work out at the gym and run daily. I like clothes, reading, family, friends, going to the islands to sunbath and I appreciate good food.
We both love culture.
PHILOSOPHY
Carmen & Anna: Since we're going passing this way once, enjoy the life you have been given. Explore and learn.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For now we are interested in finding people in Thailand to meet us for a drink to hear about life in Bangkok or wherever we happen to be! We would also love some suggestions from locals of great things for us to do! Perhaps in the future we will try hosting fellow couch surfers!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Carmen & Anna: We're both first timers.. Carmen's daughter CSed in Brazil and met terrific people. Her great stories piqued our interest in CS
Interests
Carmen & Anna: We both love traveling and meeting new and interesting people, of course!
Carmen: Being from New York, there are always a million new things to do and I love taking advantage of all the city has to offer. I go to the museums (the MET is wonderful always but I also enjoy the modern art at MOMA and the Guggenheim). I go bike riding through Prospect Park regularly but also adore Hudson River Park in lower Manhattan and Highline Park (a new park that opened in 2009 on the West side of Manhattan, it is built on old elevated railroad tracks). I also go kayaking in the Hudson River and try to catch a movie in the theater every once in a while, most recently I saw Midnight in Paris with my daughter and The Tree of Life.
