To travel and meet people from other countries, and gain some understanding of the many different cultures that exsist in this big old world of ours. I love meeting people and having a laugh!

ABOUT ME

I am Half Welsh and Half Greek. Father Greek and Mother Welsh. I am one of Six Children. I have a twin brother which is great! I think I had a brilliant upbringing and although we were poor in terms of money and material wealth, I feel we were rich in the sense of family and looking out for eachother. In all the time of my life, I dont think I have ever had a falling out with any of my immediate family members that I have not spoken to them! I am 6foot 2inches tall, white, have brown hair and brown eyes. I weight around 110 kg. I have an outgoing personality and enjoy trying different things and experiences.

I lost my partner to a car accident 7 years ago.Which completely changed my outlook on life! Now I live for life and the unexpected, although I have some broad plans, I live flexibly and go with the flow, but also assess the risks and act appropriately. I smile almost all the time and rarely feel down, but hey I am human and I do get in a rut sometime, but I remind myself how lucky I am to be in the position I am in (Healthy, active and an enoyment for life!)

I know this sounds a bit of a Cliche, but I grew up wanting to help and change lives, not in the sense that I was some sort of saviour, but to share positive experiences and show people that life can be lived fully without all the barriers we put in place everyday. Help focus potential self being and belief of self(not dictate) but advise, no thats not the right word, help people see their own potentials and possibilities. I started off working as a youth worker in Cardiff and with the help and encouragement of others went off to University and completed a degree in Youth and Community studies,which I completed in 1993 at the age of 25.

Since then I have had a variety of jobs in the Caring feild, from drugs worker, Youth worker, working with the homeless, Education worker, community development officer and my last job as a manager of a team working with Young offender in East London.I quit this job in November 2006 and wanted to travel, hence what I am doing at the moment!

I have travelled around Europe and am currently in Japan, but will be heading back to Europe in June 2007. My plan was to leave Japan and head for Australia and other countries in the pacific area, but flights from Japan cost a fortune, so I am returning to britain to get a flight back to the pacific area.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that you should `Treat others as you wish to be treated` I try and live without Ager, Worry, stress, have fun where ever & when ever and smile every day.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I first heard about this idea of such a websight existing and the idea of people sharing their lives and the want to meet others across the world, I thought to myself, `I also want to be part of that` I know that there is so much we can learn from others and also how we can share knowledge. I have knowledge and experiences of many different things and would love to share with others and would hope that others would wish to share there knowledge and experiences with me. I am a go listener and could talk for Wales when the need arises. Since I started travelling, I have learn so many things, not only about the finer details of travelling alone, but also how to share what I have learnt with others, by simple conversation and keeping in touch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never couch surfed before So will give it a go and see what happens!

Interests

Being from Wales I love Rugby playing or watching but more of the latter. I read fiction books but enjoy factual books, I enjoy walking and meeting others, I enjoy learning new things. I love trying new foods and learning of new cultures or ways of living. I believe that you should always try something once and if you dont like it, then dont try again( as long as I dont feel as though it will harm or endanger myself or others around me) I`m up for anything!

I like a wide range of music, from funk to soul, Fifties and Sixties music, Elvis, Everly Brothers, Otis reading, Ray Charles, Bill Hailey, House, Reggae, Old Ska.

Dont like much of the music from the 80`s & 90`s

i like different types of movies but have to be in the mood to watch! I like reading Factual books I love Terry Pratchet `Disc Worlds` No really a book worm!
