About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My wife and I are about to retire, and want to know people everywhere, not only here at home.
ABOUT ME
My wife, Rebecca and I have been married now 39 years. We met at Antioch College in Ohio. I've been an eager learner of languages, and can manage various levels of French, Spanish, Italian, German, Hebrew, Russian in addition to my native English. I'm determined to improve all of these and eventually to add Arabic and Latin.
Rebecca (my wife) and I are veteran travelers and love to get away. We also love to host "foreigners" in our country. So far at least, we have a very nice home with plenty of room for guests. We carry on interesting conversations about any number of varied topics. Boring, we're not.
I'm especially good at striking up conversations with strangers and finding out all about them. Rebecca is fabulous at researching places we're visiting and discovering what is interesting about them.
PHILOSOPHY
Be nice, be careful.

Music, Movies, and Books
Try me. There's an awful lot I'm interested in.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are just too many to name but one, but the Months of April and May in most places probably qualifies.
Teach, Learn, Share
Wow! I know a lot of stuff, but it's hard for me to presume to know something well enough to teach someone else.
