About Me

"There is grandeur in this view of life..." Darwin

I'm a graduate student working on my dissertation in philosophy, but I take every excuse to travel!

"To be clear-headed rather than confused; lucid rather than obscure; rational rather than otherwise; and to be neither more, nor less, sure of things than is justifiable by argument or evidence. That is worth trying for." -Sir Geoffrey Warnock

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've stayed with CS-ers since my first trip abroad, and have had many good experiences traveling and hosting. Though I can't host now, I still like to participate by helping people to enjoy my beautiful city.

I began my couchsurfing experience with a month-long trip through western Europe in 2006. Since then, I've met up with CS-ers all around the world and hosted frequently in Toronto. Thanks to CS, I've stayed in a french animal-rights anarchist commune, a squat house, on the seaside in Italy and on a rooftop in Hungary. It's the best way to travel!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning pretty much anything. I know quite a bit about philosophy, and like to hear other people's thoughts on the perennial problems. I also enjoy cooking, especially sharing tricks with other people. My room is filled with instruments. I can teach you how to fire up a hookah and blow smoke rings!
