I signed up back in 2007, when I was first feeling the need to travel. I hosted one guest and had a wonderful experience, but moved in with someone shortly after that, and they weren't keen on hosting. Now that I'm on my own again, I'd like to host once in a while and possibly do some surfing myself. I'm currently toying with the idea of a cross-country road trip.

Also, I checked the box that says I'm a smoker, because I smoke occasionally and want to be honest for those who are allergic. But I don't smoke in the apartment, and if you smoke, you'd need to head down to the sidewalk. :)

I love that the community here makes the world feel so much smaller and more accessible. As a kid who grew up in circumstances that didn't allow for much travel, I think it's wonderful that we've created a way to help each other out.

Intereses

Oof. So many things. But these are the ones that come to mind first: knitting; going to shows (from metal to bluegrass and beyond); catching up with friends over good drinks; cooking (or attempting to); traveling, of course; reading; playing games (with cards, boards, and controllers); arranging things neatly in 90° angles; watching TV or a good movie/documentary.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I moved to the east bay in 2006 and found myself unhappy in almost every aspect of my life. The things I needed most were back in Seattle. I quit my job, which payed pretty damn well all things considered, and drove 17 hours almost straight to come home, with no job or apartment waiting for me. It was scary as hell, but I knew I had to get my priorities back in order. And whaddya know... Everything worked out just fine.

If you play guitar and ask me to sing with you, we'll get along like gangbusters. I own a nylon-string guitar that sounds really nice when anyone but me is holding it. If you're having resume trouble or just want some fresh eyes on it, I got you. If you have an iPhone, I can probably show you some tricks that will make your life easier. If you're new to travel blogging or just want some tips, I'm all about that. If you work in advertising and wanna collaborate on some spec work for your book, we might be able to work something out. You're also welcome to my bookshelf and record collection during your stay, though neither are terribly impressive.
