About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Count my pennies so I can travel some more

ABOUT ME

Just graduated university and want to see as much of the world as I can before getting totally broke! I love learning about different cultures, I wish I could DJ one day (I was a college DJ for a while, but I guess that doesn't really count...), and I would love to learn how to cook gourmet food. I moved back and forth between Massachusetts and Georgia, so I have a feel for the eastern coast of the US, but now I'm ready to explore something new and different.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just recently fell in love with the short stories of Stefan Zweig, Jhumpa Lahiri, and Guy de Maupassant, but my all-time favorite writer is Thomas Mann. Other favorites are David Sedaris and Amos Oz, but there are so many others!

Right now I'm all over M.I.A. (LOVE HER!!!). And I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Amy Winehouse. Other favorites are The Smiths, The Chemical Brothers, Gabriel & Dresden, Markus Schulz, Oakenfold, ATB, Digweed, Sasha, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, etc. My favorite operas are La Traviata, Der fliegende Holländer, and Don Giovanni. My favorite piano concerto is Rachmaninoff's 2nd.

Movies! I LOVE Amadeus, Amelie, L'auberge espagnole, sensitive foreign films, and I have a weakness for Russell Crowe movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Kafka's great-great-great-granddaughter's restaurant in Croatia.
