About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to spread the message of the superiority of the ae and ii plural formii around the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm one of those dangerous intellectual types, but fortunately I compensate for this by being incredibly absent-minded. I'm very funny, or at least, I think I am, but hey, I'm not even sure that you exist, right? So let's just assume that I am.

I am very friendly and suspiciously overconfident. And can raise my eyebrows one at a time. Would you like some orange sherbet?

I've just finished my Bachelor of Arts degree in Ancient History and Philosophy from Sydney University, so naturally, I have forgotten everything about said subjects - so I don't know who this "Kant" guy is you keep talking about.

I'm also quite tall (6'3'') and currently sport a lincolnesque beard. I'm very clean (said beard gets shampooed every day). I have aspirations of writerhood, which is to say, I write stuff sometimes. Failing that, I will probably become an Ancient Historian or a plumber or electrician.

I secretly fear possible impending baldness, and not so secretly fear zombies. If you are a zombie, I apologise for my bigotry, but I do not wish to meet you, sorry.
Also, I can fix any computer problems, program your VCR and re-wire your home entertainment system, if you needed such things... and come on, we both know you do, right?

PHILOSOPHY

Hedonism! Yay! Why? Because Robert Nozick's "The Experience Machine" is not actually a sufficient argument against hedonism, not by a long shot, and I've yet to be presented with any other convincing arguments against it. Also, there's, you know, all that pleasure involved.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once wrote an article for Honi Soit (the Sydney Uni student magazine) that got torn out of every single copy on campus. Then I wrestled a badger with a spoon.
