About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discover the world with fun!!!

ABOUT ME

We’re a young Italian / South African couple who have been living in London for the past 4 years. Sick of the miserable weather and dreary hours on the tube, we’ve packed it all in and come to sunny Brasil!

Such an adventure, which we want to make last as long as we can on a rather small budget (maybe a year or so if we can find work), before making our way through the rest of South America.

We’re SUPER easy going and open-minded people, who have gotten along with almost everyone we’ve ever met –and we love meeting people from all over the world, from different cultures and different backgrounds. The more people you meet, the richer you become as a person.

No problems with smoking (the more the merrier :> ) or with pets (we’d have them if we had the space and the time…pot plants have to do for now).

We love a challenge, which is why we’ve made this trip. London became way too comfy (and far to cold and rainy for us sunny people) and we were itching for the challenge of moving to somewhere completely different for both of us.

First port of call for us was with friends in Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte. From there we visited Rio and then spent a few weeks in Arraial d´ Ajuda, lying in the sun and enjoying our lua de mel. After New Years Eve (Universo Parallelo near Itubera) we´re heading back to Sao Paulo.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything we do and say in life has consequences. If you fail to realise this, you’ll get the shock of your life when karma comes to bite you in the ass :>

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We’re virgins in terms of staying with anyone, but we have met a few BH members which was great. We´re definitely keen on meeting more people and staying with some surfers :)

Interests

We’re pretty sociable, and love to party. On a beach with super music under the sun is exactly the kind of party we’d like to find ourselves in. There’s quite a big psytrance scene here in London, which we adore, but we can’t wait to get outdoors!!!

At the same time though, we also love to be nice & chilled – we could laze away a day on the beach, or spend an evening having dinner with friends. We also love nature, so would just as much enjoy spending a day taking in some of Brazil’s natural wonders.

We love doing things off of the beaten track – tourist spots are full of tourists, and we’d prefer to discover places that don’t have too many of them around (say the tourists themselves, but we’re sure you understand what we mean).

We’re also a little crazy. LOVE skydiving and scuba diving, so we’d be really keen to take on any adventurous activities that Brasil has to offer.

Teach, Learn, Share

We’re on a mission to learn Portuguese – we took some lessons (on the beach!) while we were in Arraial and we´re really keen on learning more! So we’d love to learn as much as possible through couchsurfing.

In exchange, we can help our hosts with Italian and English as we´re both native speakers and qualified.
While we´re in Sao Paulo we will offer English and Italian lessons - anyone wanting to improve their skills, plz feel free to contact us!
