CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to build my own house and have more time to travel.

ABOUT ME

While I was born and raised in PA, in my heart I have been a North Carolinean since I went to Warren Wilson College. I love to travel but don't get enough time to do it as frequently as I would prefer: maybe when I retire I will have more time.

While at WWC, I gained friendships from all around the world: I just haven't had the time to visit many.

PHILOSOPHY

I'll get back to you on this one: I think I'm still figuring out who I am!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I passed on the "travel bug" to my elder daughter and now she loves to go places. We will be travelling to Egypt and Morroco in Jan "08. We hope to gain our "official" CouchSurfing experience in Morroco.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Even before we had children, my wife and I loved to stay in B&Bs. While the girls were in high school, we introduced them to traveling through EU via trains and staying in hostels. Traveling light with a backback is a great economical way to go places.

Zainteresowania

I like to learn new things: I can't say, I'm much of a risk taker though. For me cultural venues are the greatest: wonderful local food, sightseeing, museums and just visitng with people over a cup of good coffee. I like intimate conversations rather than large gatherings.

I'm not fussy: I like all kinds of music genre, movies with great dialogue and books that are well written.
