About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, meet interesting people, learn something new, return home, repeat.

ABOUT ME

I live in a very rural area. I really enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and seeing the world away from home. After returning from a trip, I just can't wait to start planning a new one. I enjoy reading guide books, studying the history of places I visit, and making plans for my adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a hiking trip for 4 days in the Grand Canyon June 2005. This was my second hike in the Grand Canyon and much more difficult than the first one. My route was the Hermit, Tonto, and Bright Angel Trails. There are a lot of rockslides on the Hermit to work through. Some places the original trail is buried and you have to climb up, over, or down the rubble to continue. It was very hot, I didn't have a thermometer but I'd say near 100 day time temps. Did not see any scorpions, but I did see a small Rattle Snake in some rocks on the Tonto Trail between Salt Creek and Horn Creek. He buzzed like a very mad loud bee and I walked around him at a safe distance. I had a great time, one of my best experiences for sure.
