To save enough money to go travelling....at last!

ABOUT ME

We are a happily married couple (40's) with teenage children living in Hastings "the fruit bowl of New Zealand" - so called because of all the orchards and vineyards here.
We enjoy being out and about enjoying the countryside and beaches of Hawke's Bay where we live and are eager to get back to international travel after a long lay off, raising a family.
We are non-smokers but enjoy a social drink. Malc sometimes makes homemade beer and wine!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We joined in Jan 2008. We have not had the chance to travel yet but have enjoyed hosting some interesting and friendly people. All positive so far!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just as hosts so far but we are hoping to travel back to the UK for a few weeks in 2010 and then central europe the following year

Working and raising a family seem to take up a lot of time, but as a family we play, coach and watch a lot of soccer. Also enjoy getting out and about in the Hawkes Bay countryside and beaches. Enjoy the movies, reading, art and photography. Liz goes to the gym several times a week too.
We grow our own fruit and veggies and believe in organics and re-cycling.

Muzyka, filmy i książki

Movies:- Liz has a preference for Comedy and Romance movies. Malc is more into Action or Thrillers.
We both enjoy documentaries and travel programmes.
Music: Our musical tastes are almost everything from Opera to Heavy Rock.
Books - Malc is into crime and thriller fiction plus non-fiction such as travel, art, photography and "green topics" such as organic gardening, sustainable energy etc.
Liz - mainly foodie books, biographies and travel.
