ABOUT ME

Well it would be a long story to tell both of our stories. So we will tell it from when we met and the rest I'm sure we can fill you in on when/if we meet:) We met at a uni toga party on a hot summer night in Australia over 3 years ago.

Since then I have sold my house & Lyd finished uni 2 years ago. We moved in together for a year and then thought what the hey "lets travel the world before we have to do all the grown up things in life". So for over a year we have been living in London and traveling all over the place at every chance we get.

We are now planning on taking 6 months off work and travel through europe (to start with) and hopefuly meet some more life long friends and maybe crash on your couch for a night or two. Inturn we hope that when we get back to australia that you (fellow couch surfers) will come stay with us so we could continue our adventure in meeting new and intersting people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have made a donation to this site as we understand while the best things in life are free not all things are eg running a great site such as this.

But what we hope to offer that is more valuable then money is us recipricating the couch surfing experience when we get home so that we can keep this fantastic organisation running.

We also hope that our passion for cooking and food will help make us a good guest in your home. We are happy to the dishes in fact Lydia loves doing them lol.

We understand that you are inviting us into your home and we wish not to disrupt your life in any way. We have both lived in share accomodation many times. Though do enjoy a good chat on a wide variety of lifes topics, we would not be offended if you have had a hard day and would like your own space.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing through this site. I Luke have done plenty of couch surfing in my life as I have lived in many places through out Australia and friends have always offered there couch to me to come visit them. Whitch I have taken up many a time. I turn my friends have seen many of the places I have lived as they come and stay with me not matter how far I seem to move, we have some come stay with us all the way over here in the UK.

Lyd lived on a uni college and nearly ever week was staying at someones place or someone was coming to stay with her. Many a time after a big night at the uni bar a friend would need a place to crash and her close location to the bar made her couch a good place to head for.

Interests

Well where to start??

We love food!!!!! We're yet to find a cuisine that we don't like, but there is so many still to try! Yet I'll be surprised if we don't like every one of them.

Music. We both love a wide variety of music and we are alway on the hunt for a new sound or band that take our fancy. Love live music and going to gigs no matter how big or small. I (Luke) play the guitar (not as good as I like but when do you ever stop learning??)

Lyd loves to salsa and I'd like to learn and plan on doing so.

We enjoy conversation on just about any topic ie current affairs, politics, travel, music, anything that makes you laugh (above all) and even some nerdy stuff like science.

We could go on but I'm sure you get the idea.

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow how long you got??? lol..
Movies all the clasics from our generation. Faris Bueller's day off, Pulp Fiction, Dirty Dancing, Old School, Dazed and Confused oooh there are just so many!! I do like other such as, One flew over the cookoos nest, Notebook, Something about schmitt and Shaw Shank Redemption.

Music. Blues, Rock, easy litening alternative, moderate amounts of dance, some mainstream and plenty of others. Above all I love the greats eg Clapton, zep, Ray Charles, BB king and so and so forth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that all 3 is what make life full bodied and worth getting out of bed for each day. The day you stop learing should be your last. We can bring our knowledge of our country to share and teach. I can throw in a few songs on the guitar. We both have some good food dishes we are willing to teach and share. I love to share my love of music with anyone. All in all if we have it to share we will..
