I am on a mission to simply be happy in my own skin...and why not help others become happier with themselves at the same time?

ABOUT ME

I am a fun loving, caring and compassionate person. I have an insane sense of humor, sometimes sarcastic, but almost always right on with the flow of things. I am highly animated, with a tremendous amount of energy...my friends often struggle to keep up! If my friends want laughter, I will find a way. If they need to cry, I will stand strong and they may lean on me. If they need advice, I will be objective, and honest. If they need to unburden thier minds...I will shut up and listen. Karma is life.

PHILOSOPHY

I work in a hospital. I and those I work with know very well that tomorrow is not gauranteed, ever. If today were my last, would I be proud of myself, would I be ashamed? Would I be ready? What have I done to validate that I ever exsisted? Will I be missed and by whom? I live my life now to grow, and learn, and spread the knowledge and kindness to others of how to do it, and how it feels. I cannot change the negative things I have done in my life. There were many. But I may find redemption in living my life differently in the days that come.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't own a mansion...heck its a duplex I rent. I have a spare room with a bed...not a couch. It isn't even the best kept, but clean by many standards. The point is that I want to have trust in this world...and the people who are allowed to inhabit it. I want them to trust me...I offer my home, and company. I want to extend my hand, so others do the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In my life I have spent plenty of nights surfing couches... sometimes invited...sometimes unintentionally woke up on one (wink) and even been forced to on some occasions...but let's focus on choosing to instead!

Interests

I love to exercise, I love to bicycle...I love to party and drink...responsibly of course. I love music, and clumsily strumming my guitar though I am not very good. I love to travel!

Music, Movies, and Books

Accoustic music, beach music, steel drums and reggae...alternative rock, hard rock, and sometimes maybe pop! (less pop or rap...please) Mood and circumstance dictate the feelings and music applied to them. My mind is open to music, from Country to Classical!
I like any book that jars me, that when I am finished it takes weeks to fully register the things that I took away from it...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to live in Maui, Hawaii. If you take the trip to the top of Mt. Haleakala, the volcanic crater, you will break the cloud cover if you time it just right before sunset. It is so strange to be so high up you cannot see the beaches or towns or ocean below. I watched that fiery sun drop below the clouds I had risen above, and it grew instantly colder and darker. I got back into the car, drove down from the summit, and saw the sun again, red and blazing through clouds, and shortly after it sunk behind the ocean...and for what may be the only time in my life I got to see the sun set, twice, in a single day...
