ABOUT ME

We are 2 best friends, students in business schools. We met in Paris during our studies 4 years ago and now we live in the same city : Lille, in the north of France.

We are both very opened people who like travelling and discovering from other cultures and ways of life ! We are very curious and likely to learn from others !
We enjoy travelling with our friends, doing sports, going to the cinema, partying,...

As for me (Katia), I am part of several associations. The first one is quite famous Action agains Hunger in which we develop local events to collect funds. The next one in a national race organized in schools,upcoming in May ! The second one is a new association created this year by students of my school, and tend to boost students to help younger pupils who experiment scholar, social and economic difficulties by giving them free lessons, by showing them the opportunities they can have in life, by being the older brother and sister they may need.

For us, respect and cleanliness are very important. Leila and I will propably live together by next september and we think we will enjoy our new home together !

On the one hand, we like helping people as far as we can and on the other hand, we are very grateful to people who help us. So, we hope we would help you enjoy your visit in Lille as much as we will be grateful to be your visitor!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is so short that we want to take advantage of each moment with the people we love! We want to live our dreams and not to dream our lives! We am willing to develop projects, to find the means of succeeding in them!
To take advantage of our lives, we want to meet new people, to travel as often as we can, to discover new ways of life !
We both have the same philosophy of enjoying life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are willing to be your host by september ! Indeed, we will move into a bigger appartment together in September. For now we both have 2 very small flats in which it is difficult to have visitors but we will be pleased to meet you and make you visit the beautiful town of Lille.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For now, we have no experience on couch surfing, we just discovered the system recently but hope we will have good experience soon!

Music, Movies, and Books

I (Katia) love watching a film without to know anything about what is gonna be in the movie. Indeed, I enjoyed recently "into the wild", Ray, I liked Kuzturitsa movies, La môme, Saw, ...

In terms of music, we both have etlectic tastes and like everything, from Rock n Roll music (Fall Out Boy, David Usher, Nada Surf, Placebo, ...), to Pop Music (Gavin de Graw, Coldplay, Aaron, Hot Hot Heat, The Jackson five...), Soul (Ayo, Amy Winehouse, Tracy Chapman...), local music (Romanian, Polish, Algerian music,...),...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Being in Time square was a great experience to live, it is such a huge place we are use to see in movies, that being in there was strong ! (Katia)
- Teach to 20 non-dancer people a hard choregraphy that they have to dance in front of the whole school was really funny ! (Katia)

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach how to make typical algerian food like tajine and we are willing to learn everything actually !!!
