CURRENT MISSION
Encouraging world peace through hospitality
ABOUT ME
I am married, have 2 grown adult children, male and female. I sing in our local choir, soprano, love games: golf, bridge, mah jong, pan, boating, traveling, eating and cooking, long walks, the beach, sailing. I am a life member of Sister City Organization, Lions Club International, several charity boards. My husband and I have been members of www.USSERVAS.ORG for many years, hosting and being hosted around the world. Couchsurfing is a great idea for more direct contact.
PHILOSOPHY
Let's build peace through friendship world wide. We need to appreciate all people and cultures.

Hosted first CS today. Very sociable Mark Trinko from Costa Rica. He was in between planes at LAX and joined us for breakfast, lunch, and snack. This is a great organization.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Lots of hosting and being hosted through other travel organizations.
Interests
Took river cruise through Prague and Budapest 2008. Planning trip to Africa for 2009. Love to stay with local people. Visited Turkey for 2 weeks in March. Visiting with CS will be fun. Cruise a lot with my husband.

Music, Movies, and Books
I belong to 2 book clubs. Just finished reading, The Book Thief. Meaningful personal experiences in Germany from 1939-45, narrated by "Death." Very clever. I hope a sequel comes out soon. Like historical and romantic comedies. Enjoying the biography of John Adams. Liked "The Man in the white shark skin suit" Liked Julia and Julie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled to the Galapagos Islands last December. Nature is beautiful. Let's contribute toward preservation.
