ABOUT ME

Both me (Hanna) and Simon are new to couch surfing! We have found some lovely people to stay with in Hannover so far, and are still looking for other places to stay in Germany currently.

I've grown up in South London and most of my family are from Ireland. I'm currently studying psychology. I haven't had much of a chance to get any long term jobs yet. I worked in a bar last summer so I can pull a decent pint of beer! Another 'practical' skill I have is that I can knit, but I can't turn corners in socks yet.

I'm very short, so try not to miss me! I don't take myself very seriously, and if I do, I'll end up laughing about it later.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now we're just layabout students, changing our residence every eight weeks as out universities command. This leaves us with regretably little chance of hosting for the moment, but graduation is only a year away...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as yet! We heard about this the old-fashioned way, by word of mouth, and like meeting new, exciting people, which is just what we hope to do. Would you care to help us get started?

Hanna

Likes TV: Grey's Anatomy, The Sopranos, The West Wing, America's Next Top Model, David Attenborough wildlife programs. Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran are fantastic comedians. Being a vegetarian, I really like cheese.

Simon

Listens to a lot of Radio 4. Also try to play anything that goes twang (guitar, mandolin, uke) or squeak (flute, tin whistle etc). Disturbingly obsessed by language.

Hanna

Films by Tim Burton and M Knight Shamalan. The Princess diaries. I don't read that many books in my spare time but I like Murakami because of the weird settings and situations. I like all sorts of music from Shakira to 80s electronica.

Simon

As appropriate to a pale young man, I like hearing large angry men abuse guitars; Clutch, Orange Goblin, Down and old fashioned blues; Robert Johnson, Sonny Boy Williamson etc. Music of all sorts is actually a passion, but those are the bits I am drawn to at the moment.

Books: Robert Rankin & Kafka (pale young man). Also Jaroslav Hasek and Tove "Moomin" Jansson.

Movies: you choose.
