About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To defy the utter norm
ABOUT ME
I've been waiting to turn 18 and become a couchsurfer since I was 15. I'm a ridiculously social person and I love talking to people. I spend a lot of my time with friends and family. Recently, my mom had another kid, my little sister. She's a big part of me. I try to practice under the rule of doing one random act of kindness a day. Reading is important to me, a good book is like a drug. Music enters every conversation I have. I religiously watch movies on a daily basis (if I have time.) I love to discuss the whats, wheres, and whens of other people's lives. Also, I plan to take over the world.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that it's everything that is connected and beautiful. I'm just trying to learn where I stand.
Now is the time for making mistakes and being forgiven...
Live your life as if it's all you get.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am willing to help any way I can. I hope to help my fellow traveler, as well as spread the word about this organization. I had a famous couchsurfer come and speak to the senior class one year, to try to get more participants. And I hope to meet many fellow couchsurfers over the years.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couchsurfer was this crazy guy with a red couch. On a motorcycle. He was...AWESOME! We've had a couple more people come and stay at my place. It's always been fun and exciting.
Interests
If anyone makes a good enough argument as to why I should be interested in something, I may pick that up for a while. The non-changing interests are reading, music, watching movies, meeting new people, dancing, woodburning, collage work, time with the people I care about, philosophy, medicine, biology, writing, new experiences, cooking, long walks or drives, games...
How could I ever write everything down?

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Alt. Rock, classic rock, 80ies rock, soundtracks to the shows I love, indie artists, a little hardcore, the greats (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Interpol, Paulson, Band of Horses), Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole(actually, all the Standards), 40ies/50ies music, and I'm always open to new suggestions.
Movies: Cannibal the Musical, Zerophilia, Kung Pow, Strictly Ballroom, Romeo and Juliet (the new one), Moulin Rouge, Skipped Parts, Love Actually, The Frighteners, Nightmare on Elm St. 1-7, Charlie's Angels, old movies, new movies, and new suggestions. I'm also addicted to House. I'm not kidding.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did work projects when I was away at boarding school. One time I covered an acre of bare forest floor with saplings. It was amazing to see what people can accomplish.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people how to woodburn, all about DNA, the anatomy of a bruise, how to correctly get the seeds from a pomegranate, what to do if someone is choking or not breathing, how to climb a tree, how to do "The Rockstar" off of a diving board, origami, photography, editing, how to give a hand massage, how to cook (like five minute cake-in-a-mug), a little bit about religion, poetry, all sorts of exciting stuff!
And I've love to learn anything someone can teach me.
