Meeting new people and connecting with old friends is something I truly enjoy, I'm very much interested in how others spend their time; spend their lives.
My life has been quite comfortable. Growing up in Columbus, nothing terrible or traumatizing has happened, but I feel a little challenge is a big thing. This mindset is what brought me here. It's very easy to travel using hotels and hostels, but I believe there's something to be said about approaching strangers and asking them to share their lives with you.
I take responsibility for my life and If I want something to be done, I do it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Recently I've been utilizing this site more to connect with people on a local level. Although I do take trips, and I do CouchSurf on those trips, a majority of my time is focused on bettering the Columbus CouchSurfing community and my relationships within it.
I feel very privileged to have enjoyed the company of many CouchSurfers.
A special shout out to those who have hosted me, I appreciate your generosity.

Being out in the world discovering things I hadn't yet discovered is something that flicks an inner switch of mine. I feel I'm quite young and need to be out experiencing moments and opportunities to really learn in the world, so I do just that. I love to be active and I love a great adventure. 7800 days is the amount of time I've spent in the world and I'm not guaranteed 1 more second, so how I allocate myself is very important to me.
Most of my time these days is spent between work, school and engaging people.
Transportation Systems and Transportation Planning
Transportation systems and transportation planning fascinates me. I'm currently working on my undergraduate degree in city and regional planning at OSU, working towards a duel masters degree in transportation planning and transportation engineering. I'm particularly interested in the development of efficient and effective public transportation within the city, including the development of high speed and light rail systems to be implemented in Ohio region. I also drive buses.
During high school I developed a passion for the fine arts specifically sculpture and ceramics. Currently I have a ceramic and plaster studio in my home and I love to share it. Check out some of my fine art. These days however, my creative energy has moved into combining form and function. This is the genesis of my fascination with transportation.
I truly value community and believe it is of upmost importance to invest what one can into it. For me this investment comes on a social level by engaging the community through initiatives like CouchSurfing and facilitating open public discussions on various topics and ideas through open dialogue.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
After serious reflection on an Amazing Thing Done/Seen worthy enough to earn its place in this section, I've decided to put CouchSurfing. I know some out there may find this to be a little cheesy, but this organization has provided the opportunity to meet so many beautiful people and do so many amazing things, that it truly deserves this honor.
