CURRENT MISSION
Building a Network of Collective Autonomy
ABOUT ME
I am studying alternative economics. I am working on a project called Collective Autonomy, which involves looking at the ways in which people throughout this country are organizing alternatives to some of our major institutions: food, housing, health care, education and resource/commodities market. Its about learning how people can build lasting alternatives outside of the mainstream by coming together and collectivizing. I see the CS phenomenon as part of this movement. I am 100% self/non-funded.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I see the CS phenomenon as part of this movement. While I'm traveling around the country writing about my experiences, I would like to include the CS program in my research and would like to do so by participating myself. I hope to learn about peoples' interests in participating, the levels of reciprocity, and the social connections that are formed through this process.

Teach, Learn, Share
This is awesome. One of the major projects I'm looking at throughout the country are Free Skools (you can wiki it) where anyone who wants to can teach or learn for free. Couch Surfing University is using a similar model that I hope to explore more deeply.
