About Me

Spread away love

I am a traveller. I am a dreamer. I am a musician. I am a lover. I enjoy and get richer with each moment life brings to me.

I don't know what comes with tomorrow and I don't plan for it. I just plant seeds and day after day persistently baste my garden. I know fruits will come eventually, probably from the less expected plants.

Life taught me that you can get everything or have it all taken away. There's nothing secure. You can't build your future by neglecting your present.

If you want to find happiness, start with forgiving yourself and making peace with others. You'll figure out soon than breathing is good enough.

I'm thankful with life. Every step gives me opportunities to increase my knowledge and build my wisdom. The tougher it gets, the more I learn.

These last five years, through travelling, and living in new places, I felt like I've never felt before. Achieving the bliss of being in the right place at the right moment, crying, being so deeply connected to the astonishing beauty of mother earth. And just growing up, learning from the wisdom and the generosity of the people I meet.

We haven't met yet, but I already like you... a lot.

I receive so many requests. I really want to help you but if you want to surf my couch, please show me that you've read my profile by adding "Remidoubi" to your request.

Be true to yourself and to others. Live intensely, love deeply. It is the hardest but the only way to live life.
Build your experiences more than your regrets.

Visit people as much as you can. You will always make them happy. If it's not as you arrive, it's as you leave.

You don't meet the people you love. You recognise them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve been surfing couches over the last years. I couchsurfed in South America, in USA, in France, in Australia. This last three years, I got the opportunity to open my house to other travellers in Melbourne and to give back a bit of the generosity I received as a traveller.

Looking for a cheap way to travel, I joined the couchsurfing project. I was in Chile and learned straight from my very first experience that couchsurfing is so much more than a free accommodation.

I surfed in Santiago in a big house full of lovely people. I just felt like home. My initial plan to stay for a few days changed into three weeks and concluded with an intense « adios ». This first couchsurfing experience blew my mind and changed my vision of the world. From then on I felt like I was part of a world fellowship.

All the couchsurfing experiences I’ve had since have been diverse and amazing. The people who hosted us were from so many different horizons, ages, backgrounds, and cultures - but with the same desire to share space, time, and friendship. The couchsurfing project is just such a better way to travel that I cant conceive another one any more. No matter where I go, or what I can afford.

I'm passionate about music: I've been playing guitar since I was 11. I sing and play bass and percussion in addition to practicing body percussion.

I practice Tai Chi and Vipassana meditation.

I value friendship. I love people, women, cooking, cheese, good wine, mushrooms, having long conversations about life and the universe, laughing, bad jokes, camping and bonfires, hiking in the mountains, watching a good movie, reading a good book.
