I am in Europe for a year until June 2009, so I would really like to, more than anything, experience as many different cultures and just the day to day life of as many different cultures as I can:)
I turned 17 last December, and until this European trip had only been to Mexico outside the U.S.
I am a fun and outgoing person who knows how to have a good time! I am serious when i need to be, but feel we take things too seriously. I like to learn and am open for anything...well..most things :)
At the moment I simply believe in not wasting my youth. I want to experience as much as i can, and yes at times i don't mind living my life a little crazily, a little "unplanned." I'm not a total party guy, but you're only young once, right? I do believe in slowing down and enjoying life as well though.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now, I'm a traveler, but I hope to be a host after I return to the U.S.
I have never done anything like this. I stayed with some friends in London before embarking on my solo travels, but I am excited for this opportunity and grateful to the friends who told me about it.
I play basketball competitively and plan on playing at a university in the states next year. I like all other sports as well - big tennis fan! Other than sports though I'm basically just interested new experiences. I love learning!
- adventure races
- solo travel
Music, Movies, and Books
I like Comedies, Action, and some foreign films. I really like anything with a happy ending.
I like all music and am always open to something new.
Books - I love classics. I like Hemingway and Mark Twain and so many others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hope to answer this a little later - it's happening to me every day right now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching basketball to kids! I love to share my enjoyment and knowledge of Mark Twain - he was a writer who understood the young adventurer in all of us. But being young and new to this, I'm more in the "learning" category, so that later, I can be more in the "teach/share" category.
