COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until coming to Spain, I had no real CouchSurfing experience, although I had heard of the project, and liked the premise. The experiences I've had here have left me a huge fan; it has been amazing to be able to meet new people and get to know them by letting them into your home. I think that doing that has helped make a home out of this apartment (and this city), for which I can't really be grateful enough.

Intereses

For the most part, I'm interested in whatever I can get an opportunity to learn about (which made college a bit tricky at times), and I've found myself immersed in conversation about anything from music and art, to language and grammar, to science and technology. In addition to talking about them, I also like to play music, draw and paint, cook when I have the chance and the money, and take the occasional walk into the wilderness.

Música, películas y libros

I've had an interesting relationship with books, wherein I've enjoyed nearly every book I've read, to the extent that it's become difficult to pick out any particular favorites, although there are some books, like The Chosen and Fahrenheit 451, that I find myself wanting to experience again.

Music is a bit easier to narrow down; I've lately found myself listening to Iron and Wine quite a bit, but I also particularly like Counting Crows, Sufjan Stevens, Do Say Make Think, and Electrelane.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I remember seeing the stars up on Mount Rainier during a camping trip one winter with particularly clear skies, and they were brighter and more beautiful than I had ever known them to be, before and (unfortunately) since. It's been a hope of mine someday to see stars like that again.
