About Me

i'm a nomad from new york. i studied in boston (MA) and live for a while in berlin, (Germany). my addiction to football (soccer) is bordering on disability.

i went to graduate school to study modern European history, focusing mostly on the former Yugoslavia (Balkans). my interests are pretty varied, though - weimar, monetary policy, nationalism and identity, technology, football and popular culture in the eastern bloc.

last year i traveled for 6 months (skipping Winter!) through Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, South Africa, India, Laos, Thailand, and Singapore. i moved to Berlin partly to work on the language, and partly because it's a deeply interesting place.

i'd like to meet authentic people through couchsurfing. and i already have.

humility, generosity, humor, compassion - yahtzee!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS meetups in Berlin, cup of coffee in my neighborhood (Kreuzberg), or i'll host if i can.

i feel indebted to it - several years ago i hosted a dude from france who stayed with us in texas for 2 weeks and became part of the family. i visited him years later in northern quebec, and this last summer i attended his wedding on a farm in the cote d'azur. badass.
