About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be a free person. Meet my essence and work to live as a writer.

ABOUT ME

I don`t like to describe myself. My mission and occupation give an idea of who I am, but to really know we`ve got to meet.

PHILOSOPHY

Just live freely and lightly, with some budget to sustain the craziness.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mainly hosting people. Being a guest is harder to me, because one never knows the level of freedom the host will give to the guest. I mean, if I may not leave and come back anytime I prefer to stay in a hostel, so... I think a lot before deciding being a guest. Actually, I`ve only been a guest once, in the apartment of someone I had already met and I knew I could leave and come back anytime I wanted.

Oh, and once in a while I go to meetings in my town.

Time to update...

Well, in Colombia I used a lot couchsurfing to make connections, many friends, many parties... and I slept two nights in Juan`s apartment, in Cartagena. It was nice!

And I`ve been guests other times now, in Brasil, Argentina and Chile. And used a lot of couchsurfing to meet locals in meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Porto Alegre, southern Brazil, I`ve been in a couchsurfing meeting and I made friends and had great time. That`s why I decided to be part of it. If in a meeting I made friends and had good time, I imagine great things will happen in becoming part of it. So, today (16/12/08) my first guests are leaving and there`s another arriving today or tomorrow. It`s been so nice. I`ve found out that I like to be a guide.

... updating... some more guests in new year and I was a guest during Carnaval, in Salvador.

...updating... I won`t update it for the rest of my life! From time to time, someone comes to my appartment, believe me, and from time to time, I surf at someones appartment. jejejejeje.

Interests

Literature, culture in general, traveling, beer, bars, parties and nightlife in general.

Music, Movies & Books

Specialy Samba and classic rock. Movies and books I have to watch or read and consider each one. I don`t decide by genres. But I´ve got to say that drama movies are in general the great ones.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

The Doors of 21st Century show; go to Iguaçu Watherfall; some trips to Ouro Preto. One vacation in Pantanal, Bonito and Chapada dos Guimarães and another in the three states Southern Brazil. Also vacation in Colombia , 4 weeks in Cambridge and everycarnival in Rio. Vacation in Chapada dos Veaderos, uncountable unforgetable evenings in Rio. The day when my first book was published; the day of the opening of a big exhibition of a cultural project I created; the day the publication of the first book of the publishing house I had.
