One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was walking along the shore in CT just carefree. When a Brant goose starts to freak out, flapping it's wings an' honking up a storm. It couldn't get away, fishing line had trapped it against the breakwater. Well, I got down very low and calmly started shooshing . She then calmed right down. Now I had a knife but didn't want to cut the line, so I took my time untangling the knots. When I had finished, she took a moment to catch her breath, honked once in gratitude and flew away. All in all we enjoyed each others company for thirty minutes or so.
