About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Understand my place in the world

ABOUT ME

Open mind and open heart, curious as a cat. I was born in Israel, grew up in USA and have also lived in Amsterdam, Rome, Paris and Valencia. Now I'm back in Tel Aviv....everywhere I feel a little bit at home and a little bit a stranger. Every summer I go bike-touring for a month in a different country (Portugal, Spain, Greece, Italy, France) and stay with local people which is AMAZING.
I work in education but before that I worked in human rights and environmental NGOs and before that I was an urban planner...and a few other jobs in between! In Tel Aviv I ride an old Dutch bike (no car), read a lot, host strangers (CS, WS) and I love hiking in the desert.

PHILOSOPHY

If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Pure positive experiences! I host travelers (couchsurfers and also through Warmshowers which is the cyclists' couchsurfing network) whenever I can. I've couch-surfed with AMAZING people in Portugal, Spain, Crete, north Greece and even in my own country.

Interests

People - deep down we are each so interesting. Also history, art, cities, strangerhood, alternative lifestyles, ecology, archeology, yoga, politics and social justice.
