About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discover myself discovering other cultures

ABOUT ME

i like when other people say or write something about me... especially when it's something good :))

PHILOSOPHY

We contemplate the same stars, the heaven we have in common, we are part of the same universe: what does it matter how each ideology seek the truth? We cannot reach such a great mystery through only one-way

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not enough time to travel around the world as i would like. That's why i can open my house to other people from all the world. I can feel my self as a traveler in my city.
Couchsurfing is the best way to show and share all points of views and all different kinds of cultures.

Update aug. 2011 - My life changed. I'm going to move and to travel a lot around southern Italy because of my job. One of the sadest things about leaving my beautiful Rome is that i'll be far from the couchsurfing hosting mood. I don't want to lose all of the opportunities that this system gives and i guess i will be more traveling than in the past. I hosted more than 80 people in 2 years... now it's my turn to be a guest.
Thank you CouchSurfing

Update aug. 2019 - I miss the couch surfing mood. Unfortunately I'm traveling a lot for work and I can only meet and/or guide people around the places I am staying at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Even i don't partecipate to cs life because of my short free time, i've hosted a lot of people. Many of them very good experiences... just one/two not good... i think CS is the best way to travel also with mind when you aren't able to go out your country. It's amazing that you can hear a lot of languages in your home, you can speak about a lot of things and compare different points of view

Interests

I love to ride my bike and traveling solo by that, i love photography and i use digital and films, i love good wines and good food. Reading is another important part of my life together with ancient history, archeology and ancient philosophy. Does it seem boring? Believe me...it is not! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

books: greek and latin classics, Renaissance writers, historic novels, George Orwell, Hermann Hesse, W.F. Nietzsche, and many many others

music: even i'm not able to play (i did when i was young) i love music. It is an important part of my life 'cause brings me feelings and memories about a feeling. Yes, music is important as important are feelings. It's very hard to say what i like 'cause in the rhythm i look for something deep... not just a moving body :)

movies: depends on the mood. Sometimes meaningless movies, when i need to laugh without concentrating or thinking. When i'm empty of thoughts (in a good way i mean) i love mazy (intricate?) movies like ethernal sunshine of a spotless mind. When i was in love i looked movies to compare to my life.
And, mind, i am a fan of: Matrix, Star Wars and Lord of the rings. I love movies partly taken from the history like "Alexander" or the series Roma...

Well this describes me a bit but i guess my taste cannot be explained in few words... ask me, i'd like to enjoy this kind of subject! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Under a certain point of view i am a common guy, but you can discover that everything in my life is unusual and funny. Come to my place and, drinking a cup of thea, we'd share a lot of stories about my life :))

Amazing things? I'm wondering if it is fare to leave the best paid job someone like me could get to enjoy the freedom. In my life i loved strongly and i have been kicked. I teached and i learned but, above all, i have been free.

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach italian cooking, something about history of ancient Roma and middle age in Italy and something about architecture (but i am not an architect)... What can i share? I love talking, sharing feelings, sharing life with special people. That's the best way to feel free and alive

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Netherlands, San Marino, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
