About Me

To meet and greet people from around the globe, explore and document the unique locations I visit with my camera.

Hi potential couch surfer, my name is Kyle and I am multimedia artist that works with live visuals performance as a video jockey (not the MTV kind). I am living in Valencia, Spain running my own company called VJ Loops. I, along with a global team of artists create short loops in the form of videos, animations and motion graphics for distribution online. I also shoot stock footage using video and photo DSLR cameras using various techniques like stop motion & time-lapse. You can see some of my work HERE
My current line of work requires me to be social media savvy so I'm pretty active in social networking via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn so my life is pretty much an open book. Search for me online and it's pretty straight forward. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them.

Important Please Read:

If you are interested in surfing with me please make sure you and all of your party have active CS profiles. If you send me a message telling me you and "X" number of friends want to stay with me and I have no idea who they are, I will refuse your request. It's common courtesy to at least let your potential host know who you plan to bring with you. The best way to do this is with an active CS profile. So send the links for all the members in your party. Preferably a Couch Surfing profile but I will consider FaceBook profiles as well. This helps me decide if I can accommodate you and your friends. A full profile shows that you are interested in the CS project and that you are not just looking for a "free" place to crash. That's not what CS is about. If you or your travel companions feel this way then please don't waste my time.

I will always do my best to be a good host that is helpful, considerate and fun. Please keep in mind that my studio is my place of work and as such I will need to do work which may interfere with our schedules. With this said I may or may not be able to show you around town.

I enjoy life and the challenges that come up every day. I seek out new and creative ways to express myself through digital media using photography, video, motion graphics and computers. I love to make people laugh and smile and I try to project good vibrations with my personality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

You put your left foot in....taking the first step will always have some obstacles. I understand this because I was there too. So I always do my best to help educate people on what I feel are essential CS tips and tricks for improving their CS experience.

I enjoy meeting new people and crave information from foreigners. I try to be active in the community via local groups.

So far so good. Everyone I have met through CS have been very polite, fun, outgoing and a pleasure to be around. So as a host I feel that I've got that down to a science.

As a guest I've got some miles under my belt but not officially with CouchSurfing. I know how to behave and respect people, their belongs and their home. Like mom said "treat people the way you want to be treated." Wise words to live by.

I love photography and motion graphics. When I travel I bring my camera and snap photos of anything and everything that crosses my path. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures first hand. At home I spend my days working on my website and creating visual art in the studio. During my free time I like to jog. I have a weakness for seafood and Asian cuisine. I love sushiiiiiiiiiiii :P

Music, Movies, and Books

I read the whole Harry Potter series...and I enjoyed it, so what :P One of my friends said "Kyle, we need to get you to start reading some adult books!" I dunno sometimes grownup stuff is borrrring.

I finished reading Micro, the last book by Michael Crichton, I was surprised and enjoyed it a lot. It was quite imaginative.

Now I am working on the 3 books by George R.R. Martin from "Game of Thrones". I guess I am the type of person that buys the books after I've seen a good movie or series. I'd hate to waste weeks or months reading a book to realize I didn't really care for it. With a movie or series you know right away if it's something you might enjoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2011 I spent 3 months traveling & working on a time-lapse documentary called the "5 Year Film Project". I had the opportunity to visit locations I would have never dreamed of. Deserts, mountains, natural parks, forests, big cities, small towns and visually epic locations that I will never forget. For more info visit:

Teach, Learn, Share

A good leader must be a good follower, I assume this works for a teacher. One who teaches must also be willing to learn and be open to new ideas that may or may not agree with their current beliefs. The circle of knowledge continues. :)

Sharing is caring, as cheesy as it sounds it's true. The world needs more compassion and thoughtfulness. So it's up to each person to do what they can. Doing something is better then nothing at all.

What I can share with you:

Computer skills: Software, hardware, troubleshooting, maintenance, building, repairing, upgrading, buying

Video & Photography skills: software, hardware, cleaning, shooting, editing, batching, effects, time-lapse, macro, stop motion, animation, motion graphics

Outdoor skills

Cooking skills: Learn to make Buffalo Wings!
